We use the Common European Framework of Reference developed by the Council of Europe, for learning, teaching, and assessing French as a foreign language. This framework describes clearly what you are supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing at each level of your learning process. You will not only learn but also develop your learning strategies. Your progress will be assessed and appear on your personal certificate of evaluation.
Our action-oriented approach will allow you to deal with the business of everyday life; to exchange information and ideas with French speakers, to communicate your thoughts and feelings to them; and to achieve a wider and deeper understanding of the “French way of life”, forms of thought and cultural heritage.
You will practice all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Teaching is conducted in small groups of a maximum of 8 students, to encourage interactions and communication.
We use colorful textbooks featuring real-life situations and dialogues, and authentic materials such as excerpts from movies, TV and radio programs, advertisements, newspaper and magazine articles, literature, and songs.
